You might not have heard of Oud but it is becoming increasingly popular in the perfume world. It is a resin from the Agar tree grown in the Middle East and is considered one of the most expensive natural raw ingredients in the world and often said to be more expensive than gold.
Oud is actually the word 'wood' in Arabic.
Warm and woody and highly aromatic as you would expect. Middle notes of Amber, Raspberry and Patchouli and finally base notes of Saffron and Musk. A luxurious fragrance indeed. It reminds us of a Far Eastern Spa with the aromatic sweet woody smell.
